Lip Augmentation

Lip Enhancement

Here at Asthetics we have designed a signature lip, which is very natural and plumping.

As the effects of ageing take hold, even the lucky few who were born with perfectly beautiful lips may want to consider enhancing their lips’ appearance. Over time, the lips’ volume depletes, leaving a thinner, flatter appearance. Wrinkles and fine lines compromise their smooth look, and the vermilion borders and Cupid’s bow become less defined. Around the mouth, the area between your upper lip and nose can become flattened, and the corners of the mouth may turn downward, creating a tired, aged appearance.

Lip Fillers can improve the signs of ageing, by addressing the lips’ texture and smoothness and filling the lines and wrinkles caused by smoking and pursing your lips over time …and of course, by adding volume for a fresh, natural, new look. Treatments are a safe and natural way to create the lips you have always wanted and can combat fine smokers lines, issues including lack of volume, wrinkles, smile lines, cupid’s bows and lowered corners.
It’s no secret that the lips are an important part of facial beauty…whether with a friendly smile, a kiss, or a quick change of expression, your lips are always drawing attention to themselves! What’s considered beautiful may vary from culture to culture, but there are some commonalities. Studies show that wider, fuller lips and well-defined borders are widely considered to be attractive. In fact, full lips have become increasingly identified with both youth and beauty.

What makes ‘ideal lips’?
perceptions of beauty ideals and norms vary across demographics, eras and cultures. In recent times, particularly in the west, there has been an increasing desire for fuller lips, with well-defined borders.

During our assessment of lips prior to any aesthetic procedure for lip enhancement, we consider your lips baseline and anatomy, including:

The Procedure –
The lip enchantment procedure, involves a little discomfort, with slight stinging during the injections with a fine needle. There are normally between 10 -18 tiny injection points in the lip area, depending on the treatment goals decided on. Mild swelling can temporarily occur, and there’s typically slight bleeding, which is stemmed during the procedure. We add both topical lidocaine and use brands with lidocaine added to each syringe, for ultimate comfort.

Side Effects –

As with all aesthetic procedures, there is a risk of side effects, which can include swelling, bruising, itching, discolouration, stiffness, tenderness or redness at the injection sites. These side effects can vary from mild to moderate and typically resolve within 7-30 days or less.

Correction work

Have you had a cosmetic treatment that didn’t go well?

We at aesthetic can help you, we always advise that you seek out the practitioner who first did treatment to see if they can resolve the issues.

Other cosmetic boutiques may not be staffed with our level of expertise. Unfortunately, if the wrong type of filler is used, or too much, it can lead to that plastic look that no-one wants.

Too much Botox can reduce facial movement and expression.

You don’t want to look like you have had work done. You don’t want to look “filled.”

If you have had undesirable cosmetic treatment results, we can help.

Apart from anti-aging, we also preform corrections for clients who feel that their fillers or Botox treatments have not left them quite as untouched-looking as they would like.

Fixing face fillers may require a number of different techniques depending on your situation. We approach each person individually and will review your skin’s condition thoroughly before making a recommendation.
