Correction work

Have you had a cosmetic treatment that didn’t go well?

We at aesthetic can help you, we always advise that you seek out the practitioner who first did treatment to see if they can resolve the issues.

Other cosmetic boutiques may not be staffed with our level of expertise. Unfortunately, if the wrong type of filler is used, or too much, it can lead to that plastic look that no-one wants.

Too much Botox can reduce facial movement and expression.

You don’t want to look like you have had work done. You don’t want to look “filled.”

If you have had undesirable cosmetic treatment results, we can help.

Apart from anti-aging, we also preform corrections for clients who feel that their fillers or Botox treatments have not left them quite as untouched-looking as they would like.

Fixing face fillers may require a number of different techniques depending on your situation. We approach each person individually and will review your skin’s condition thoroughly before making a recommendation.

What are fillers?
Dermal fillers consist of a gel-like substance that is injected underneath the wrinkle to correct it from the inside.
They are made from a natural substance (Hyaluronic Acid), already found in the human body. This substance also deeply moisturises the skin

Does the treatment hurt?
There is some mild discomfort during the injection process. A local anaesthetic cream will be used on the skin before treatment to make the process as comfortable as possible.
We use new types of fillers containing a local anaesthetic within them, which makes the post-treatment sensation much more comfortable.

How long does it take to work?
Unlike Botox, treatment results are instant.
There is some residual improvement over the following few days after treatment and drinking plenty of water is advised to hydrate and ‘plump up’ the filler.

How long does it last?
The longevity of fillers is variable and depends on the individual. However, you should expect fillers to last between 6–12 months

Are there side effects?
Serious side effects are rare, but some people experience mild bruising and tenderness to the treated area which usually resolves within a few days.
The risk of tissue break down (necrosis) is a very rare complication, which affects less than 1 in 20,000 patients.

Is it safe?
Fillers have been used as a cosmetic treatment for many years and are considered very safe.
They give a natural, youthful look to the skin, which is temporary.
In the unlikely event that you were not satisfied with the results, the treatment can be reversed using a simple medicine.
